About The Producer
Fany GalÃndez, a proud participant in InConexus's Women's Power program, is leveraging her passion for coffee production to create a brighter future for her family. For over 22 years, Fany worked alongside her husband and two of their five children on their family farm, originally focused on sustaining crops. At the time, coffee was merely a secondary crop. That changed when Fany discovered the potential and sustainability of coffee production. Determined to build something lasting, she dedicated herself to improving her craft.
With support from InConexus, Fany attended countless workshops, fairs, and training sessions, mastering advanced harvesting techniques, minimizing losses, and refining her processes. Her commitment transformed coffee into the farm’s primary source of income and a shared family passion. Through the Women’s Power program, Fany has emerged as a leader in coffee production, embodying resilience and reminding us that coffee is about more than flavor—it's about family, perseverance, and connection.
InConexus Huila Program
Coffee production in Huila thrives within a lush subtropical, humid mountain forest ecosystem. Year-round rainfall, fertile soil, and ideal temperatures allow for exceptional coffee cultivation up to 1,900 masl. InConexus’s Huila Program supports farmers with personalized assistance, from infrastructure to education, gender equity, and sustainability. Farmers focus on rainforest preservation, selective hand-picking of ripe cherries, proper fermentation, and controlled drying. Passed down through generations, their craft produces coffee with complex aromas, featuring citrus, caramel, green apple, and honey notes. The result is a balanced cup with bright acidity, a creamy body, and a subtle sweetness.
