About the Coffee

Coffee Bros. is proud to offer a stunning Gesha Honey Processed coffee from La Esperanza —=the oldest partner of InConexus. During a blind cupping, this coffee stood out for its exceptional depth and distinctive flavor, especially impressive for a Gesha varietal.

“El Tesoro,” or “The Treasure,” lives up to its name. Fifteen years ago, Helemile, driven by the hope (esperanza) of building a better future for his son, purchased Finca La Esperanza alongside his wife, Luz Darly, and their son, Marlon Stiven. Joined by his father-in-law, they began cultivating high-quality coffees on the estate, which now produces varieties such as Pink Bourbon, Colombia, and Gesha.

Their Gesha is selectively handpicked, sorted by color and weight, then undergoes a meticulous honey process—including concrete chute fermentation, a 24–48 hour depulping, light washing, and slow drying over nearly two weeks.

Helemile’s commitment to learning has led him to workshops on fertilization and sustainable farming. His efforts have earned the Rainforest Alliance and UTZ certifications, and his passion for coffee drives ongoing improvements to infrastructure, environmental protection, and cup quality, all without compromising health or integrity.
