Coffee Description

Summer Fades. Fall Begins. Ember Espresso captures that moment between seasons, when summer's bright sweetness gives way to the richer, comforting flavors of fall. Roasted medium, Ember balances lingering fruit and sweetness with deeper notes of caramel and cocoa.

A Different Kind of Espresso: Ember is our first espresso built around a washed, anaerobically fermented coffee, a departure from the naturally processed coffees that have traditionally played a major role in our year-round and single-origin espresso offerings.

Flavor First: The washed process creates a cleaner, more structured cup, while anaerobic fermentation introduces additional sweetness and aromatic complexity. The result is an espresso that feels familiar yet distinctive: Plum and cocoa notes

Freshly Roasted: We roast Ember fresh in small batches to highlight sweetness, balance, and body, whether you're enjoying it straight or with milk.

About This Coffee

Ember was created around the transition from summer into fall.

We wanted an espresso that kept some of the fruit, sweetness, and aromatic character of summer while introducing the richer body and comforting flavors we associate with cooler weather.

To do that, we took a different approach than in many of our previous seasonal espressos.

Ember is our first washed anaerobic espresso, moving away from the naturally processed coffees we often use when looking for intense fruit and sweetness. Here, the washed process provides clarity, balance, and structure, while controlled anaerobic fermentation adds another layer of sweetness and aromatic complexity.

Roasted medium, Ember sits somewhere between modern and classic espresso. It's clean and structured enough for someone who gravitates toward traditional washed coffees, but still has enough fruit and fermentation-driven character to make the cup distinctly Coffee Bros.

It's the last glow of summer before fall settles in.

About The Producer

Aurora Andina is produced through Buesaco Crop Management, an InConexus-led origin model bringing together coffee producers around shared standards for quality, traceability, and continuous improvement.

They select only fully ripe cherries before flotation and manual sorting. The coffee is then depulped and transferred to sealed tanks for controlled anaerobic fermentation. After fermentation, it is carefully washed and moved to covered drying systems, where moisture is gradually reduced under stable conditions.

Together, these steps give Ember exactly what we were looking for: the clean character of a washed coffee complemented by the sweetness and aromatics developed through anaerobic fermentation.
