About Our Light Roast

Our Light Roast is hands down our favorite, underestimated roast. We cannot say enough about our Light Roast Coffee Beans. In general, Light Roast Coffee Beans tend to be overlooked because people are looking for a “punch” of flavor. We are here to break those barriers. This is an extremely flavorful and impressive coffee with taste notes that resemble Honey, Citrus Fruit, and florals with a crisp, clean, and silky body. We have found that our Light Roast makes an incredible espresso or an equally delicious, beautiful, and bright drip coffee.

Ethiopia

This coffee comes from our washing-station partners at Adado, which is in the kebele, or village, of Shara, in the woreda, or district, of Guanga, in the Yirgacheffe region. This coffee is named after the local tribe, "Adado." In these coffees, typically apricots and peaches with supportive citrus and floral higher tones come together in a delightful cup. The process of these lots really complement the typical profile of the washed coffee beautifully and even shine through the heavy berry overtones in a natural process.

Colombia

Our coffee from Colombia comes from various smallholder farmers in the Huila region.

We entrust our Colombia sourcing to Cafe Imports, who have had boots on the
ground (and spoons in the cup) here since our earliest days. Cafe Imports sources strong, versatile workhorse coffees from the regions of Cauca, Huila, Nariño, and Tolima and discover and develop micro-lots from all over the country.
